About ccConcerts...
Despite the strong community of Christian believers in the Coulee Region, concerts with national known artists have been few and far between. In the spring of 2008 a group of people sat around a table at Culvers and decided to do something about it. Armed with a great team , a small bank account, the knowledge that Christ was on our side we set out.
After spending a few months researching what it takes to pull off a concert, we contacted some booking agency's, got a few potential artists and were starting to decide which band or bands to bring in for the first concerts. Waiting to see which door God was going to open, we stumbled across a giant 9 band concert called Creation Fest:The Tour. This tour was well outside our budget, experience, and capabilities. So we dismissed it,
Little did we know that this is the one God wanted in Onalaska. He pressed our hearts and we decided to move forward. We, under manned, under budged, and inexperienced moved forward with Creation Fest: The Tour. Shortly after, God opened up doors to more experienced people, expanded funds, and great partnership's. We presented God with what we had, and he brought what we need.
What does God have planned for the future? Who knows, more concerts… of course, a monthly non-denominational hard rock service called Octane, a Christian radio station, music festival or more?. The success of this, the first of many concerts in the Coulee Region is proof that God is only limited by the willingness of his people to follow his direction. So lets see where he takes us next… |
